Albie remembers taking ballet lessons for a period of her childhood, but ended up quitting, in tears, because she didn’t want to wear the recital costume: an orange leotard with black sequins in all the wrong places. She hated the color, and the feeling of sequins in her arm pits, and honestly, who wouldn’t? To this day, Albie is adamant about wearing clothing that is comfortable, appropriate for her given mood, and reflective of her sense of self.

*Thrifted white Jessica McClintock prairie dress with an awkward drop waist

*1990’s polka dot-cow print skirt from Value Village that Albie never really wore

*1940’s green velvet pajama jumpsuit that Albie wore often, especially during the winter, 2-3 years ago when she obtained this spectacular pieceĀ

*Gold crushed velvet shirt bought for the amazing material while working Lucky Vintage years ago

*90’s chunky knit tank bought online; made no sense to wear in the summer (so hot!)

*Vintage green and red checker sweater with the mock turtle neck (cropped for easier tucking)

*Pastel geometric “mother of the bride” two piece found at a Tukwila thrift store in 2018
