2022
Contains: Industrial t-shirt scraps, lining and various reclaimed garments, second hand hats
In 2020 I ordered a 50lb box of industrial t-shirt scraps, typically used as rags in auto body shops, etc. It was cheaper to buy tees with prints on them, so I went thru and sectioned off the plain white portions of the tees from the prints (these chunks were cut into strips, sewn into yarn, and saved to use for a series of woven projects). I cut out all the letters from the prints and scanned them all alphabetically, resulting in 83 pages of scans. The remaining printed chunks I cut into strips then sewed them onto 10 different items seen below.
