Janelle Abbott, artist and designer behind JRAT Zero Waste, set out to create an exclusive small-run capsule collection for Bungee Space, only to have the project fall apart at the seams.
Conceptualized in collaboration with Bungee Space, the collection was to feature 7 monochromatic garments, made from reclaimed materials, which could all be worn simultaneously or individually. However, along the path of execution, one design decision after the next began to betray the project.
On February 12th, 2026, Janelle held a presentation at Bungee Space about the process of collaborative creation and learn why these garments ultimately are not for sale. Instead, Janelle debuted a limited edition, Bungee Space exclusive zine featuring hundreds of letters, in alphabetic order, culled from industrial t-shirt scraps.
