Katy has beautiful memories of her mother, who passed away when she was 8 years old. “She had the best style” Katy told me, explaining the myriad of patterns, textures, structured styles that hung in her mother’s closet—and the holographic shoes. “I only saw her in jeans once”. Katy’s father and Grandmother were thoughtful enough to save all of her mother’s clothing, and over the years they have bestowed these precious pieces upon Katy. Each piece told a different story about her mother; each piece elicited a different memory. Today these pieces are sprinkled throughout Katy’s illustrious wardrobe; they graciously tether her to the stylish women who came before her, who imbued within her a love of quality clothing, authentic style, and bold self-expression.
