Between the ages of 4-6 Jena wore a pink frilly night gown all the time. Her mom had a long blue gown which she adored. Jena continued to mix frilly pieces into her looks, especially in Junior High when she invented a style called ‘country goth’, which according to Jena: ‘country goth’ was “mall goth and whatever else I could find”. A frilly dress layered with a Simple Plan t-shirt dress worn over leftover middle school jeans with chunky black boots, fingerless gloves—all wrapped up into one look. Gold. With maybe a little bit of hippie culture and retro TV flavor like The Monkees and everything else on Nick at Night thrown into the mix as well. Platinum.
