Clara’s earliest clothing related memory was making garments with her mom—she was given agency to choose the fabric and pattern that they would use, so she said the pieces always turned out pretty wacky. From age 5 or 6, Clara was also allowed to make her own choices about the clothing she would wear day to day, and she did—she ended up looking pretty goofy apparently. Into her teen years, Clara said she started to play it safer—collecting fun clothing mostly for photo shoots because she lacked the confidence to wear them day to day at the time. More and more, Clara is interested in wearing exactly what she wants to; bold, fun, funky, outlandish.
